Re: My new shark tank
Your shark tank looks great! I really like dust control. I am building my tank and was having the same heat troubles, what saves me is that I used clear corrugated polycarbonate instead of flat plexiglass. The corrugated has gaps every inch or so, when I hook the vac up it draws in cold air through ...

Re: VCarve Pro...changing the project when we make small cha
WEWII, I noticed the same thing. Yesterday I was experimenting with a 1/2" straight bit and cutting a silhouette of a bear. I was trying to figure out what the best cutting depth would be. I was doing exactly what you described. I set the FRO for 25% to avoid any sudden movements, load the tap file ...

Re: looking for clamp ideas!
Thanks, I'll look into it. I do a bunch of small and mid sized projects, so it might work well. Today, I picked up some 1x6" vinyl and a 12"x12" piece of marble to experiment with and both would work well with vacuum clamps.

Re: looking for clamp ideas!
Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that but 90% of the results were no help. If anyone is interested, I found clamps made by 4dthinker and karenw that are really nice and seem like they would work well. They are under "shark file sharing" and the name of the post is "wood clamps. my design."

Re: Wood Clamps. My Design.
I have to say, both sets of clamps came out nice and both sets of clamps are a good idea. I just put up a post in the set up section looking to replace my rockler clamps. These will do nicely!

I've been using the clamps that came with my shark pro hd, plus a couple more I bought from rockler. They are ok, but I'm thinking............ Is there a better way out there? What do you guys think?

Re: G-Code Tears Thru Project and into Table
Hey guys a newbie here. I got my Hd in april 2012 w/bosch router (package deal) and had the normal new guy problems, I still am. However, About 2 months and a dozen good v carves later (we wont talk about all my screw ups) my machine had the same problem. It was running fine and then BOOM! its in th...
