Could you discuss using the down cut end mill as opposed to up cut. Does it give a smoother pocket?

Retiring this year after 41 years in education. Just purchased the Mako. Have to create a place for it in my shop. I have spent time with the tutorials for VCarve and Cut3d. Just purchased the Mako. Could you advise, send a pic, or send me to a topic that would give me some assistance on attaching sacrifice layer below the project. Things like should I get more clamps, cut paths for t track bolts... etc.

Got one! still in box. preparing a place in the shop for it. working through tutorials. could you recommend good mill end bits to use and a good source. Someone suggested MLCS.

I have yet to unpack the Shark Mako. I am currently moving through the tuorials. Could someone recommend the best mill end bits. Not nervous about using the Shark, just got to finish my shop doors.

To say newbie would be an understatement. I have ordered the Shark Mako. But it will likely be few weeks before it arrives..(guess i'lll have to get something else for christmeas....) Could you recommend a basic bits as a starter set.
