Re: Controller Replacement BlackBox

I have an older Shark HD Pro Plus, purchased in Jan 2013. My controller died just before Christmas. NextWaveAutomation was helpful, but did not solve my problem. Rather than by another NWA controller, I bought into the OpenBuilds hardware and software. Aspire has a post-controller option for OpenBui...

Re: jog bit using usb keypad

I believe I tripped over the answer to my problem. It appears that the "Insert" mode triggered the change in focus. Once I switched Insert to Overwrite, the selection I made for the Jog speed did not change and I was able to move the gantry by pressing the PgUp, PgDn, left and right arrow keys. I am...

Re: jog bit using usb keypad

Hi. I replaced a Dell laptop with a Windows 10 tablet (the original Surface) and a Bluetooth keyboard. When I use PgUp or PgDn or the left-or-right arrow keys to move the gantry, the keypress also changes the focus in the Shark Control Panel. For example, if I set the Jog to Medium and press the lef...

Re: Screen resolution for Shark Control Panel 2

Roger, the tablet I am looking at has a full-size USB port and runs Windows 8.1. I should be able to turn off the screen saver and set the power options to stay on always. I am looking at a refurbished model from Groupon, so the experiment will run me less than $200.

Re: Screen resolution for Shark Control Panel 2

I am looking at buying a 10.1" Windows tablet with a resolution of 1280x800. My concern is this: I do not want to manually resize panels. I would like to be able to see everything that the new interface has to offer without the need to manually resize anything.

Thank you.

Screen resolution for Shark Control Panel 2

Hi. I used to run the Control Panel on an 11" Dell laptop with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600. I upgraded to the Shark Control Panel 2 and discovered that much of the Virtual Zero dialog on the right side of the screen disappears into the void. Sadly, I have run out of pixels. What is the minimum...

Re: Move collection points in Control Panel v2.05

I have a workable solution. I upgraded to v2.1, which then threw me another curve. Instead of the first collection point moving to 6:00, it moved to X at -9.938” and Y at -9.938” – roughly the lower left corner of rectangular work piece. I cancelled, set Preferences -> Virtual to Edge of Material wi...

Re: Move collection points in Control Panel v2.05

Thank you.

Any suggestions on how I can lie to Virtual Zero about the size of the piece?

Re: Move collection points in Control Panel v2.05

I thank you both for your input. And I agree - it would be lovely if the programmer (at the least, their Subject Matter Expert) would tell us what he knows. I am still hopeful that I am just using it incorrectly, and that the setting for Collection Points -> Image Cutting Area means that the collect...

Re: Move collection points in Control Panel v2.05

I don't see how that can benefit anyone working on an irregular shape. I thought I saw a video where someone was carving a section from a tree branch or tree trunk. So, even if I must define a rectangle within my circle, what is causing the second collection point to move beyond the furthest travel ...
