Re: Shark Pro Plus HD Maintenance
I have cut an MDF spoilboard, used Rockler's 26099 t-slot bit to cut clamping slots (that bit worked really well). I mounted the board with 1/4-20 3/4" hex bolts. I made the board basically using this video as a guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyt8zOJUQJ4. Now that I have it mounted I need to ...

Newbie Check list

Re: vacuum pump recommendations?
I have of few questions if you don't mind? Which Harbor Freight pump did you buy? Did it work seamlessly with the Rockler pods? What is the noise level like?
thanx in advance for your help.

Re: Best Foam for Prototypes/Testing?
I answered my own question with some research and experimentation. Owens Corning Foamular works very well. It is sold at Home Depot and Menards. It comes in 4x8 sheets with various thicknesses. 1/2", 3/4" 1", 1 1/2" and 2". Home Depot also sells 2'x2' sheets, but it is a better value to buy 4x8 shee...

Best Foam for Prototypes/Testing?
I've been doing some prototypes on pine, but there are many drawbacks such as expense, cupping of the wood, limited width, etc. I understand foam is good to use for prototypes or testing. I'm looking for suggestions on the best foam to use and where to purchase?
Thanx
