painting drag lines in granite

Can anyone give some ideas on how to paint or otherwise make the drag lines in granite or corian stand out. I am almost finished with a 6 hour gut with my diamond drag bit on a piece of granite and would like to know how others finish their work. Also I did a test cut on a piece of corian with the d...

Re: how to send/open design to machine..ASAP

Hi, I use a different process when creating a project. First of all in the comfort of my office in my house I create the project in VCarve Pro. I save the finished file in a folder in case I ever want to use it again. That alone could saves me lots of work. I save the .tap files in the same folder w...

Re: ruined on last cut need help

Well I think all I did was hit a clamp with my dust collector. I have since ran 5 or six more signs without any problems. Thank you

Re: ruined on last cut need help

It's very possible that the dust boot could have hit a clamp. That's one of the main problems and why I don't use mine too often unless I am cutting
. I was running without the bottom of my dust boot on and it's why I made my own out of clear acrylic but it's still a possibility it hit a clamp.

ruined on last cut need help

Almost the same thing that happened to me over two years ago. On my final cut out and at the same spot the program or the router lost it's location. I don't think there was any voltage problem. The code should not have been corrupted, This was the third time and the fourth time I ran the same cut pr...

Re: Dust Shoe

You forgot to mention what machine you made the dust cover for. I was in such a hurry to make mine that like an idiot I did not masure my router. I have a shark with the colt router. I did take your file and change the size to fit the colt router. I can't imagine having a dust cover that you can't a...

Re: Exchanging X and Y Axis

When I first set up my Shark I switched the wires so that the work comes out the same as the way you are looking at it in the V Carve program. It makes it much simpler when setting up your work and you don't need to constantly rotate letters 90 degrees. Many of us switched the x and y axis, try it I...

Re: Using Composite Deck Trim for outdoor signs

I am nopt sure about the contact paper but will try it. It does not have a real smooth flat surface. It has a fake wood grain but with very little rise to it so I will try it. Also thanks for the router speed tip. I will slow it down a little and possibly speed up the feed rate just a little also an...
