Re: Curved Betting (Poker) Chips Trays

After carving a bunch of scrap wood, I finally figured it out, or at lease what works for me. In Aspire, In Toolpath in finishing Toolpath, in Machine Strategy, I chose Conventional Offset instead of Raster. At first I thought Raster would take less time but it doesn’t. The other change I made was t...

Curved Betting (Poker) Chips Trays

A friend contracted me to build a Craps Table, complete with betting (poker) chips trays. The table was relatively straight forward and simple but the chips trays were more challenging. Craps tables have betting (poker) chip trays on the curved ends and that creates more of a challenge. 2 rail model...

Re: Virtual Zero Unlimited

2 things: Won't using virtual zero unlimited take a long time, like twice as long as cutting? What about us guys that don't have pendents and use a computer with our controller? Will Virtual Zero Unlimited be available for us?

How old is your machine?

Did it work before?

Re: Z axis will go down but not up

Tell us some of what you have seen around your Z tower. Could the coupler between the motor and the screw have come loose? does the screw turn at all when trying to raise the Z axis? If you uncouple the screw from the stepper motor does the motor then turn but not when toe screw is attached? Maybe p...

Learning the hard way.

This is more of a reminder to the CNC Shark users to not only keep their machines clean but to check all joints for tightness. Recently, I started a project of making 350 5 pointed stars for a Christmas project for my local church. I started noticing that some of the stars were not just quite right....

Re: New Router mount for Z Axis

gmagge, Please, for clarification, does your Dixiebillet clamp actually clamp or is it bolted to the new Z axis router mount? Also, on my shark, I had to shim my Dixiebillet clamp just a little to get the router perpendicular to the table top because there was not adjustment in the Shark. Does the n...

Re: Leveling the router

It depends on your mount and router or spindle.

For me, I used some thin dense cardboard and some masking tape to shim my router.

It doesn't take much at the router to make a bid difference.
