Re: Chatter in the gantry
Can I ask, on average in wood cutting, what feed rate you use? I use to think that I could push 20 or even 40 FPM and be safe. Thom,
I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of this out. The resonance thing blew my mind. Ill definitely try everything you suggested.

Chatter in the gantry

Good info Brian. Thanks.
So I guess laser photos are out of the question with the current setup? Can anyone from NWA give a definite answer?

Re: Inlay issues.
Gordon - Great advice! Can you tell me what you have found to be the optimal average start, flat, and pocket flat depth settings in vcarve? Just what you have found to work best? I know this will vary for each piece, but I was wondering if anyone had success with a general number or rule of thumb. D...

Inlay issues.
I gave inlays a try today and ive got some inconsistencies in the finished product. Re: Laser Images on chc shark hd4
I checked the catalog I was referring to but the image was associated with another laser printer.
Has anyone been able to use the laser engraver to get picture quality?
My aim is to get a nice 18 x 24 Norm Abram up on the shop wall. Something I think all shops need
