Re: HD4 cuts erratically after pause/resume
Kayvon, thanks for your reply. I run my programs from the pedestal, so I do not know how to read the g-code after the program has started to execute. I can see the line number on the pedestal screen but do not see the executable code in real time. Any advise on how to do this would be appreciated. SKI

HD4 cuts erratically after pause/resume
After pausing a 3D finishing cut and selecting resume a few minutes latter, my HD4 cut normally for a few seconds then acted erratically and bottomed out the Z axis and wondered in the X and Y axis before I emergency stopped. The work piece was ruined and the aluminum below the 3/4” spoil board was ...

Re: Spindle options
I have a 110v spindle that I bought directly from NWA. Yesterday the collet shaft assembly decided to start coming lose and sliding down the shaft towards the collet. I noticed it when I attempted to change router bits. The collar that is adjacent to the bottom of the spindle migrated down the colle...

Re: Mayan Calendar
Rando, thank you. I finally figured out how to convert the calendar depictions to bit-map files using Paint. I than loaded those files into VCarve Pro and created some satisfactory cutting programs. Slowly but surely figuring out the VCarve system.

Mayan Calendar
Does anyone know where I can find a Mayan Calendar project compatible with VCarve Pro. Have a couple of friends who would like to have one if I will carve it for them.

Upgrade to HD4 controler for the water cooled spindle
Just wondering if anybody has heard of any upgrades to the HD4 controller to enable it to turn the spindle on and off when a program is run. I could do this with my router before I installed the spindle. Any plans by Next Wave Automation to upgrade the CNC software to allow speed control on the spin...

Re: Attaching spoil board question
Thanks. It seems so simple now that you showed me what to do. Now all I have to figure out is how to display my leveling bit in the tool index of Vcarve. I normally just copy the info from a similar tool into my data base, but I cannot find a similar tool in the examples on the Vcarve tool index. Ch...

Re: Attaching spoil board question
I am another CNC newbie with a newbie question. What routine or program do I use to level my spoil board? I have the cutter but I don't know how to use it. I use a large piece of 3/4" MDF as my spoil board held down on four corners with clamps.
