Re: Feeds and Speeds
I had posted about replacing my Bosch router on the Shark Pro Plus HD and one of the forum members sent me some pdf documents about his upgrades over time. It was very good information but either in the email he sent or the pdf he recommended the following: Set your router on 3 and forget it. The Bo...

Re: Tightening Nuts in Gantry
Thanks for your reply. I had thought of making a custom wrench out of an existing wrench but the needle nose pliers worked. People always come up with an answer when confronted with a problem. I bought my machine used and have visited the NWA site quite a few times. I find their amount information q...

Router Depth in Billet Mount
I just installed the Dixie Billet Router Mount in my Shark Pro Plus HD. I also have the NWA dust boot with brush also attached. Does anyone have an opinion on the maximum depth I should put the router in the mount in relation to the table. I have a 3/4" MDF Spoil Board over my usable area. Should I ...

Re: Tightening Nuts in Gantry
Thanks I will try that. Why I did not think of that. After lunch today i will try that. I am itching to get going after the upgrade. I also bought the aluminum router plate from Dixie Billet and want to get that installed as well. I was going to grand an ignition wrench down but was afraid it would ...

Tightening Nuts in Gantry
I have a Shark Pro Plus HD CNC Router: I have searched the forum for threads about how to tighten the nuts on the frame of the Gantry. I installed the back plate gantry upgrade aluminum plate and cannot get the nuts in the oval slots to tighten. I used a small screw driver to hold the nut still but ...

Re: Work Bench/Table for Shark HD4 Extended Bed
I just bought a used Shark Pro Plus HD and am having the same thoughts about what to do with it. At first I have a 4x8 assembly table and it landed there. I have a torsion box bench that seems to never be used that is about 2.5' x 4' and I moved the machine to there for now. I have ordered a dedicat...

Re: Porter Cable 8902 Type 3 Speed
I just bought a used Shark Pro Plus HD and it had a beat up Bosch 1617 EVS. I have several PC 890 routers already in the shop and thought about buying a new 890. In the end I bought a new Bosch 1617EVS because i will use the old Bosch as a through down router in the shop. I will use the new router b...

Very cute. You grand daughter should feel safe from the monsters under the bed now. Everyone knows monsters cannot stand light.

Re: another box
Very Nice. Did you cut the box via regular tools and embellish with the CNC or did you cut everything on the cnc.

Re: Controller Replacement BlackBox
Can you please explain why you think you need Mach 3/4 software. The openbuilds CONTROL software is free and is supposed to run your cnc router. If you are using CAM/CAD software like you do now and then use the NWA Control panel to load your gcode files how is the blackbox different and needing Mac...
