Re: Has anyone replaced their Bosch Colt to Dewalt 611?

I've been using the Dewalt 611 for over a year now without any problems. Using Precise Collete. It is 1/4 HP more than the Bosh. Also quieter. You need a different mounting block as diameter is different. I got one from Dixie Billets. Thank you Eric I wanted to know others people opinions about the...

Has anyone replaced their Bosch Colt to Dewalt 611?

A few months ago I had problems with my Bosch Colt, the bearing gave out and broke down from inside so I was looking to buy another Bosch Colt router for my CNC Shark Pro Plus with precision collet but I found out that its not align to the center and that the Dewalt 611 is now what they recommend to...

Re: COLLET BROKE, DOES ANYONE KNOWS WHY?

In general, the good characteristics include: - Much easier bit insertion with just a 4mm allen wrench. No more two-wrench juggle, or finding that darned shaft-locking button on the router. - Much closer tolerances on bit fit; The collet inserts are for specific standard sizes, and aren't intended ...

Re: COLLET BROKE, DOES ANYONE KNOWS WHY?

As you mention, insertion depth is important. Typically with router bits that have a large body at the end of the 1/4" shaft, "in as far as it can go" was the rule, or there was often a minimum insertion line. I'd go with "the straight part of the shaft should be held in place at the outside and th...

Re: COLLET BROKE, DOES ANYONE KNOWS WHY?

So, I'm going to assume it's the collet INSERT that broke. When I add in your mentioning that the bit had fallen out with a mere "tap" when removing the dust shoe, I will tentatively conjecture that the bit and/or collet insert were not really well seated. Like how a small bit can be "held in place...

Re: MY CNC IS GOING CRAZY!!! HELP PLS

Any chance your bit was loose in the collet? I've seen the exact same thing happen when a bit wasn't tightened down enough. When I put the bit I tightened, after the problem happen I raised the Z axis it was feeling a little bit tight in the wood, but when I removed the Dust shoe collector it tap t...

Since I start it using Control Panel 2.0 I been having problems, so I used the older version to finish a job, but now I gave it a try again with the new update (2.1 Release 03 Scan) Everything looked great the scanning of the carving I did but when I set the CNC to do the roughing, in the last step ...

Re: LEDs

I buy from http://www.superbrightleds.com and they also have a calculator how many LEDs rolls you can use in a power supply and if you give them a call and tell them what are planning to do they can even set you up a cart with the items you'll need. It has worked on me, Im not an expert on LEDs but ...
