Re: Holders for other routers
Just to make sure I practice what I preach I've made a couple of mounts. They're really not that hard to make (I do have a CNC machine) I'm currently using a Dewalt 611 and have a probe. I wanted a better way to store and mount the probe so I made a new router mount with a probe mount built in. Here...

Re: New Shark Pro Plus... Broken Part. any ideas?
Sallye, Sorry to hear about the broken part. I know the weekend after I got mine I was making lots of firewood figuring it all out. Don't have a good solution for you on that. As far as the router power plug, yes, it's turned on and off by the controller. Once you're set up you will leave the router...

Don,
I concur. I am also a former software developer and have trouble believing they haven't added these enhancements to the controller program.

Re: Carvewright to Shark files?
I had the same issue. The Carveright is collecting dust in my storage building. I was unable to convert any of my files and had to re-create them.

Re: veriable speed router question
For wood I never really change the speed on my router. Just the feed rates. I've played with the speed a little doing some plastic but don't have a lot of experience with it yet.

Re: nugging the tool .. other NC code .. relative movement
Yes there is a way to move relative to the current position in G-Code but you still have create and upload a file. Before you send the move commands you have to set either of the two settings shown below: G90 is Absolute Distance Mode G91 is Incremental Distance Mode If you're using Mach3 you should...

Re: Load Error
Could you be having a problem with the actual USB port on the computer? If you haven't already tried, plug your Shark into another port and see if the problem goes away.

Re: Single line Text
Well I can't read the file because I now use Aspire and it won't view it. Looking at your picture this looks similiar to a problem I had with the bit not going all the way along some vectors. The fix was to change the path mode in the G-Code. By default its set at .1 inch. This means the machine wil...
