Re: sd card
If you go to my post "Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions" after several months of problems, attempts to fix including sending the controler in for repair/replacement, the end fix was changing the sd card to a 2gb. I was told by a computer tech this week-end that some systems have probl...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
Ed Good idea on getting it under the work table, I will do some thinking on that. Don't have to worry about the neighbors or spouse problem where my shop is, I do have a fan blowing over the unit, next to a overhead door, which worked fine, until we got a south wind, the back end of my shop needed to...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
I will get something posted when I get a project completed, now that I am back to what I wanted to do 2 months ago. I do have another question, but I for darn sure, don't want to create another problem. Is there an extension cord made for the XYZ cable, that can get my controller and computer another...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
ED. You are Soooooo Good, I can't say THANK YOU enough, we took out the 4GB San Disk SD card put in a 2GB PNY SD Card, at frist the controller could not see the card, but after a complete shut down and back up, and from then on, we did three test runs and our problem was gone. I don't know if it does...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
Thanks for all the input, but frist things frist, Ed , I did read the instruction manual twice before we started, and I know my son-in law also read it, I was thinking of the 150 page VCarve Pro Reference Manual is when I started to go crossways. The couplers to the motors are good. I think the Powe...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
Tim; Thanks for your response, we are back to using Windows 7, we just tried the Xp to see if we would get the same problem, and yes we did. No I have not checked the couplers on the motors, but I will. I don't see this as the problem, since I can run the same code file, and it will happen again at ...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
Tried to respond earlier, guess I hit the wrong response key. Thanks for the info on the FRO. The SD card is a 4GB and I purchased a second (4GB) card which we switched out. Also switched USB cables and switched ports on the computer. Since the error message just happened this morning, I have not ta...

Re: Shark does unexplicable and inconsistant actions
Thanks Ed and PJ for your help on the toping or bottoming out problem, got it fixed in the post processor, it seems I got my depth problem fixed also. I still got the issue of XYZ all going crazy at the same time. I am doing house numbers with a street name below the number, it seems that as it fini...
