Re: Mach 3 Compatible?

The Shark Pro Plus does not use the same control boards as the other Sharks. As a note. As for using the probe software and mach 3, the problem might not have anything to do with the drivers and might be an issue with firmware update to work with the probe. are you saying that you can use the cnc sh...

Cabinet Door

Here is a cabinet door I did for a show example.
I thought it turned pretty well so I thought I would share.
I got the door from a cabinet maker, carved it then gave it back to him so it could be finished.
I am not a huge fisherman but I loved the saying.

Re: Getting more Z

There are 2 quick/easy ways to get more height in the Z without having to modify the machine. One is you can loosen the Router clamp and slide it up to give you some more height. The second is you could move the side gantry up one notch with the 12 bolts on the side. You would only have 8 bolts hold...

Re: Load error

We are working with James to resolve the issue by trying an older software controller on his machine. The newer controllers 1.4.0.9 have the ability to use high capacity cards which have a faster speed of communication. We have only seen a load error with a bad card so it might be a Hardware failure...

Re: Just Found Forum

I believe a mass email went out when it started to everyone that provided an email address when purchasing a unit. Yet these antispam system seem to catch alot of stuff that you want as well as you dont.

I think we will see more and more people on here as we go into winter.

Re: Controller problems

Load error usually happens because you are using the wrong post processor. When you are making the Toolpath (tap file) you need to make sure that you have selected the CNC shark on the save toolpath section of Vcarve. I have also seen this happen with a bad SD card, but since you said you changed th...

Re: Control Question

When tightening the setscrews on the couplers you need to use something that will keep the screw from loosening up. We use gorilla glue (just a dab will do ya) on the threads will help keep it in place but make it possible to loosen up if you need to get it off in the future. I do not recommend lock...

Re: Y Axis Problem

The Y axis is the only axis connected by the end user so when Y axis problem is brought up I have the person check to make sure there are not any issues with the plug connection. But in your case this sounds like one of two problems. First the CNC Shark Basic Panel program has a limit that sounds li...
