Re: slow feed

You haven't given any information as to what toolpath you are using and how it is setup. If you are using any type of ramping in the toolpath, Aspire and V-Carve Pro will set the feedrate to whatever you have set for the Plunge rate (for most machines). It sounds like this is what you are seeing. If...

Re: Videos.....wow, not much help.

Is there a electronic manual ( .pdf ) for my VCarve Pro software that I haven't yet found? Yes there is. If you find the VCarve Pro 6.5 folder in your C:\Program Files (x86) directory (for 64 bit computers) or C:\Program Files (for 32 bit computers) and dig down to Language>ENU>Help>Docs you will f...

Re: Using MM and Inches in same project

Rick, It is easy to use both imperial and metric values in the same project. This Vectric FAQ will take you through it: http://support.vectric.com/aspire-questions/item/how-to-work-with-both-metric-and-imperial-measurements This FAQ also shows the conversion commands plus some other time saving tips...

Re: Install VCarve 7.0

Try this:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\VCarve Pro 7.0 and find the file vcredist_x86.exe.

Right click on this file and select Run as Administrator. Allow it to run.

Restart your computer and try the install again.

Re: Vcarve 7.0 free upgrade

Lance, There is no need to purchase the backup disk. It would be best to maintain a current backup but in the event you did lose your hard drive and could not recover VCP, you can contact Vectric directly at support@vectric.com with your registration details and they will provide another download li...

Re: new hard drive

Backup your documents folder, then make sure you recreate it and it's sub folders on the new hard drive. I believe the registration codes for vectric's software are saved there, and that's where it looks.
No, the software registration information is not stored in the documents folder.

Re: Tapered bits in Cut 3D?

In the latest version of Cut3D, V1.11, tapered ball nose bits are entered as "Radiused Engraving" tool type. The setup information is the same as Aspire's/VCP's/Cut2D's "Tapered Ball Nose" tool type. The terminology was changed in Aspire/VCP/Cut2D a few revisions ago to make it clearer as I assume C...

Re: Drilling holes with the shark

It will drill at the center of circles or the crossing of line segments I think It will drill to the center of any closed vector shape, however it will not recognize the crossing of line segments. In all drilling operations it is the drill or bit that determines the hole size and the size/shape of ...
