Graphite is a dust, fine particles of Carbon dust and is also abrasive. While the build up and wearing out of the parts it's on would take some time I believe that Silcone is still the better option.

Can the Y axis direction of travel be changed? I set my Shark up with the Y motor to the back of the unit, yes there is a reason for it, and now the direction of travel is backwards..

I've been using a 1/4" and 1/2" round nose bit for my rough cuts.

I've been using Silcone Spray on just about all moving parts of my other CNC, don't see why it shouldn't work on the Shark

Maybe one of the admins of the group could add a new catagory to cover Non-Sharks and "Sharkenstiens".

I also have a non-Shark CNC.

Last word from Tim ( about a week ago) was 1st quarter 2012 release.

You've done some nice work, but this has nothing to do with amy of the Shark models..
