LED's and power supplies

I've seen a post about ordering led's and power supplies off EBAY from China. I can's seem to find any orange lights and am confused on which power supplies to order. This post is a couple years old and am wondering if anybody has any recommendations.

Re: bits

Thanks again guys, really good and helpful information. I haven't been able to cut anything that I have been happy with but it'll get there. The good thing is I'm getting some good firewood for next winter.

Re: bits

Thanks jebcV, Lots to learn. I bought a small set of bits from Rockler which I should be able to use on my router table. Maybe being frugal isn't the right decision.

Re: routers

Thanks for the help guys. I was looking at the PC892 found out precise bits do not support the PC. I decided to purchase the Bosch1617 after a lengthy discussion with one of the techs at precise bits.

bits

I have a couple questions that i can't find discussed on this forum. What is the difference between an endmill and a straight edge bit? Do both bits do the same? Why would I need a regular endmill bit if I have a ball nose bit? Will a ball nose bit cut and smooth the surface? Or should I use an endm...

Re: Birth Plaques

Could you tell me what material was used for the plaque? I just bought the shark 3D and am in the process of learning. If it's not wood do i need a different type of vcarve bit? This seems overwhelming but I will get there in time. Thanks in advance.

routers

I just purchased the Shark3D and am trying to decide which router I should use.I am looking at the Bosch1617. Dewalt618 and the Porter Cable892. All are 2.25 routers but the DeWalt is $40 more. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

Which one to purchase

I was planning on purchasing the Shark HD3 but the HD with the 63" bed has made me wonder if this would be a better way to go. Would it be worth the extra $1,000 for the longer bed? This will be my first CNC and I dont want to start off with regrets. Is there anyone out there that has the long bed h...
