Re: Laser Images on chc shark hd4

Here you go. I set mine up today. It was easier than I thought it would be. I used this file and it worked flawlessly. I cut two projects testing this new feature out.

Re: Vcarve pro vs aspire is it really worth it to upgrade?

Thank you Thom. YES it does.. So many nuggets in the words you wrote. For one, I had never heard of a 3d mouse and I am a network engineer... The cad world is something I hadn't been exposed to since autocad 9 in the mid 90's. For the cost comparisons, I can buy the upgrade for $1300, or rent the so...

Vcarve pro vs aspire is it really worth it to upgrade?

I read the upgrade and comparison chart for vectric desktop pro vs aspire. I am interested in making 3d stuff. I am not sure what the modeling and sculpting piece adds that I would need. So say for example I wanted to build/cut a 3d porche 911 out of oak. Would the vcarve pro 8.5 do this or would I ...

Re: My fourth time cutting wood..

No I did not do a rough cut. I only have a 1/8 ball nosed cutter. I ordered one right after I completed this project. Thanks for the finishing tips I look forward to trying some of them out. I love the idea of powdered stains as mine have often dried out before using them all up. Now I have the shar...

My fourth time cutting wood..

I bought a piece of 12x12x1 to test out my 4th time cutting wood. I was after the collage effect. I bumped up my feed rate to 100 ipm. At this rate there were a few cuts that seemed to cause the shark to chatter/shutter. I was using a 1/8 carbide ball cutter. The shuttering was as it was taking out ...

Re: Piranha: Controller not connecting to PC

Not that I can help much but I have 3 laptops. My everyday laptop ( I am a network engineer) would not connect no matter what I tried. It runs windows 8.1 . The other two have Windows 10 and connect fine... I quit wasting my time with the third one. And.. as a matter of fact have not yet needed to u...
