Re: What bit to use.

your bit will work. Just depends on the look that you want and what font you are using. I use 90 and 60 degree bits in both .5" and .25"

Re: Not connecting to Controller

Sounds like NWA software or even a hardware issue. Have you tried uninstalling and installing an older version of the software? Is it still under warranty? You may need to send the box in and have it checked

Re: Recommended bits?

Depends on how you do it. If you have cut away sufficient material then it would be possible but it sounds like you need to find a longer bit. Make sure that you will have the clearance to use that bit. You are talking a minimum of 2 1/2" plus the space needed for travel as well as how far the botto...

Re: Recommended bits?

Depends on what you want in the finished product and the size of bit you want to use. 1/4" is probably the most common but sometimes I need smaller diameter bits. 1/4" probably does 90% of the work for me. I'd say that you'd want to use the spiral bit as it will have a better plunge rate and will be...

Yes. It needs to be adjusted to be flat. You will also need to ensure that it is 90 degrees to the router.

you rotate the picture to how you want it to be seen and then save it to your computer then attach ig to email. I am away from home and cant remember where the button is located but if you go into the 3d view where you would save the toolpath and do a little searching you will find it

Re: Hold down alternatives

When I do not want to use clamps I use screws. Brass screws are good in case your bit hits one. I also sometimes make a jig out of plywood strips. Simply 2 vertical and 2 horizontal. I usually build it in a u shape then slide my workpiece in then use clamps to attach the 4th side to hold the workpie...

Re: CNC failing to cut on right side of projects

I agree with Tony. It probably isn't a machine issue as far as holding a constant depth. The machines are notorious for not having a flat bed upon arrival. Until you have the time to adjust your bed, you can attach an MDF spoilboard to it and then run a pocket toolpath on it usually .01 or .02 depth...

Re: Different size Text..

First you must ensure that your cnc table is flat and coplaner to the router. Which machine do you have? If you have the aluminum top it can be off a bit and there are posts on methods to fix that. You can also just mount a piece of MDF ontop of it and then you will run a pocket toolpath slightly la...
