Re: Still Workin the bugs out
Very nice! I like the optical ball too, in fact I was working on it last night. If you haven't, google Escher, some of his work lends itself very well to carving.

Re: Office Door Sign
I'm gonna guess it's poplar and the colors came out just right for the lateral line.

Re: Is this normal? Finish pass is scalloped
My first attempt at the maple leaf plate was a disaster so now I keep it as a reminder of what NOT to do. My second attempt went very well. I ended up decreasing my finish step over to 20%. I believe 3-D Cut recommends 10-20%. I also slowed the FRO speed down to 75% in the control panel to eliminate...

Re: Leveling the Pro Plus Table
WOW! Jim that first picture looks exactly like the underside of my table. Forgot to mention, I too added a middle bolt to the center of each end angle. It was a little tough getting my arm in there to tighten up the bolt but I managed. I did check and my rails now sit 1/4" above the plastic bar the ...

Re: Leveling the Pro Plus Table
What I "should" have done was clamp the angle on the ends, lay a section of track on top, and measure down to the bolts on the gantry bearings. As it is, the following is what I did do. Not sure if I have pictures of the center brace. What I did was take a piece of angle and cut 1/4" off of the drop...

Re: My CNC Shark Pro
Not sure what program you're running but it sounds like you're using a 1/4" end mill and cutting on the outside of the line, rather than the inside.

Re: Leveling the Pro Plus Table
The table problems was one of the issues I'd read about before buying my Shark Pro HD but with over 32yrs of experience in heavy industry maintenance I figured I could do something about it. After checking everything out and doing test cuts I decided to try and improve it. First, is obvious, it's ou...

Fantastic forum
Although this is my first post I've had my Shark Pro HD for about 6 months now and loving every minute of it. Had to drive about 4 hrs to the Rockler in Cincinnati to pick everything up but it was worth it. I would like to mention when I first went to use my probe it had issues. An email to Tim Owen...
