Yes it will work with the CNC shark however there are some negative points associated with. First is the Mach 3 costs $175 for the full version there is a trial version but it limits to 2000 lines of code which the carve generate significantly more code than that for even a basic drawing. There is also a function in Vcarve that allows you to create the single place then replicate it in a grid pattern. You can also provide a text file and it will automatically add the list of names to the tags.

I've used the probe to do some 3-D scans. The probe can do scans down due to .001 but to do a scan at that level takes a long time. The probe is a mechanical probe that has a spec that says 20,000 data points in an hour. I believe I have done higher speeds then that but I have not calculated it out....
