Re: SCP 2.0 Review
I'll add that my PC used for the Mako is running Windows 7 and Shark control panel (both versions) and that's it. Not even virus software. Now I have read that certain virus software "protect" data side of the USB Ports I assume to protect viruses that boot from USB drives. I wonder if the binary fr...

Re: SCP 2.0 Review
How about controller firmware? I will see what mine is later today.
Different computers same problem seems like the Shark controller or firmware is the issue.
I know I haven't updated my firmware in a while.

Re: SCP 2.0 Review
Very weird. Now NWA has two users with the issue. It doesn't make sense because the tap file is running from the sd card so all the PC is doing is executing the file.
In prior beta versions did SCP work on your system?

Re: SCP 2.0 Review
Tony, I know you are running with Windows Vista; Joe, what are you running? I'm using Windows 7.
Does your Shark jog using control panel?
Trying to figure what could be the difference.

SCP 2.0 Review
I did one carve file today using the SCP 2.0. I loaded my files then proceeded to set virtual zero - a pretty easy step. I then selected "Run Virtual Zero" and SCP begins building a new G-Code based on the touch plate reading taken at the five points. I then ran the file - no hiccups. I will point o...

I finally got it to work. I missed a step. I reread the manual and it worked, so glad. Going to run a test file in the morning to see how well it works.

Re: CNC Shark Control Panel 2.0 W/Virtual Zero
Tim, Still can't get 2.0 to connect with the controller follow everything have vista too. Help Tony Tony, you get it to connect yet? What do you have at this point; SCP starting up but not seeing the controller or is it that SCP won't go past registration/registration key entry. It took me a few at...

Buy the upgrade from Next Wave store and they will save you another $100.00. You will have to call for the upgrade version - it isn't available at the online store: http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... px?catid=3

Shark Control Panel 2.0?
When I purchased my Mako (also HD 2.0), Rockler had mentioned some of the enhancements one of them being the new control 2.0 software. Rockler currently has this in the description of the HD 2.0. As of to date NWA has recently posted Control Panel 1.5.0.23g; just under .5 version away from a full 2....

Re: Mako/HD 2.0 subforum?
Hi Bobby, Thank you for the info. I really like your clamp. Is it made from polypro? Let me know whether it stretches over time. Maybe all MWA needs to do is change the thickness from 3/4" to 1-1/2" or something like that? The cost can't be substantially more for the added thickness. Ed Ed, no - it...
