Re: Touch plate issues?

Oliver399 """ I hit the 0,0,0 button again and it dropped to .08" above the wood.""" this is telling me you have lost the Z zero setting in the last cut. It could be because of your plunge rate, a dull bit, your router is unable to reach the lowest point in the art work, a lose coupling screw on the...

Re: Touch plate issues?

Oliver399 Can you tell use what kind of bit you are using and how big it is, also in the set up for the tool path what is your plunge rate. It sound more like the router is moving up in the clamp. This is another issue at times with the clamp on some models. I have a hose clamp on my router to preve...

Re: Touch plate issues?

Oliver399 I agree with Mimbler This is not a touch plate issue. It could be a static issue as Danwood has suggested, but from what you are saying I tend to lean to something mechanical is causing you to lose your Z setting as the carve is progressing. Re: Design not cutting correctly

Bredmond

It looks like you excided the travel limit of the Y motion. If you are cutting up to 25" you must verify you have your work placed in the very center of the "TRAVEL" area that the shark can cut. If you excide the limited it will cause a problem like this.

Re: Dust Boot Modification

NewAgent45

I have never tried to use a dust boot on my shark. Thank for the info on how you did this. It seem like many of the "old" timers have stop responding to so many of these post. I know I have, but maybe it is time to start again.
