Yes we will have an upgrade in a couple of months to make it the same of the Anniversary version but with a brush aluminum top rather then the cooper color.

How large of a piece are you trying to do?

The controller does have the interface for a number of upgrades and expansion ports. However the first launch of the 4th axis is the Shark then the Piranha next.

The sd card issues usually wont let it boot in the first place if it is outright bad. If the card had bad sectors it would give erratic movement but not shut it down. I agree that it would more then likely be heat related issue. The only other thing I can think of is high static charges discharging ...
