Firmware update to add this button.

Please consider this option. When running a toolpath on the pendant. Add one more button "Move to tooling area" and have the ability to add that coordinate to the setup. For example I am using a jig board setup. I am working on 12 pieces of plywood that one at a time sit inside this jig and is held ...

A Dice Puzzle box using over 30 layers and 8 sheets

This last month I found a dice puzzle box a woodworker had made and had free plans for in pdf format on the web. I thought I would like to take up the challenge of making one of these about a 1/3 bigger and some modifications using box joints and yet keeping the inner tabs very close to his design. ...

Re: Turning a part into a template or pattern

Vcarve offers this in the array and other ways with the plate production tool or the Nesting tools located in the 2d drawing tab under offset and layout. You can find videos on how to do this on Vcarves site or on youtube. I have made various plaques and patches that I did the same thing and they ar...

Re: New 7 watt laser not working

My 3 watt laser does ok with the garage door open. If I had much more smoke I would vent it outside. I recommend that you Download the test file for the laser and see what all the settings will do on varying materials you will use the laser on. I used mine today to mark "Crimping Tools" on a 6 sided...

Re: Dust collection ductwork?

I tried various methods of dust collection and they all ended with a end result dust in my shop. I found a foam box that sits over the top of the shark keeps all the dust inside the box and helps with the noise. 2 windows provide easy viewing of the cutting. A 4" dust port pulls the dusty air out to...

Re: 2 Watt Laser & Vectric Laser Module Photo Toolpath

Does anyone have a vcarve file for the 2 watt laser to show the various power and speed settings and what it looks like after a test burn on a sample piece of material?

I know I have seen them somewhere but can't remember where.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Programming

I personally found vcarve to be the best CAD program I have used. I have house plans in it. Detailed chess pieces in it. Designed a shower valve shut off handle with it and then exported it out and 3d printed it. Now purchased Aspire and using it to make 3d models. Pretty cool stuff and very logical...
