Re: Weather and your shark

I live a little bit south of McBuster in the banana belt of SE Minnesota. I try not to do too much of a thermal bounce because ...

Re: Bowling with Bob...

You know me well :) Went out the door this morning. Probably too late for Christmas but the only way I could have finished earlier was to send them unfinished with a quart of varnish and a brush and call it a do-it-yourself project.

Re: Bowling with Bob...

Thanks again Bob for the file. I made mine out of 5/4 mahogany and had to make it a bit more shallow to match up with the wood. Great idea and execution Bob! Sorry for the qualtiy of the photos. Going into Christmas packages tonight and hitting the post office tomorrow. Hope they arrive in time!

Re: St Paul-Mpls users group

I'd like to attend but Maplewood is a bit of a stretch for me on a Wed night. I live in Lake City. If you have a Saturday morning I might be able to make those.

Re: Touchscreen computer??

I'm using a Panasonic CF-29 Toughbook to run my Shark. I bought is specific for the Shark and the shop environment. It does have a touch screen and I use it quite a bit when setting up the controller software. Mostly when jogging. The screen buttons work well for that. But I also have a USB wireless...

Re: Gears, Gears, and more Gears

4dThinker you are correct as usual! I have often seen projects that I wanted to try only to have to ask or design the file. My apologies for not thinking of it and thank you for reminding me. I ended up using the web site and output my design in to a jpg. Imported it into VCP and converted to vector...

Gears, Gears, and more Gears

I know this is rather basic stuff compared to what a lot of you folks post here on the forum. Toys for the impossibly cute grandchildren. I got the incentive to create this from looking at a cheap plastic toy of gears that my grandson had. I thought wood would be better and by making them removable ...
