Re: Missing Tabs
Hi Mike, If you close the vectors you are using for that toolpath it will work as you want. You can add tabs to a open vector, but in the ones not working the tabs are too close to the ends of the vector. If for some reason you need those vectors to be open, edit the tabs and slide them down a littl...

Re: Text engraving on plastic problem
Hi Dave, Roger is correct and you need to change your tool database for that bit to show a 15 degree side angle. I assume the attached picture shows what you are seeing? This was your toolpaths simulated with the correct setup bit. Change it to 15 degrees, recalculate the toolpath and you should be ...

Re: Text engraving on plastic problem
Dave, If the snip below is similar to what you are seeing, that is caused by having a v-bit whose angle is smaller than what the toolpath was calculated for. In this case, the toolpath was calculated for a 30 degree bit but simulated with a 29 degree bit. You should double check your settings in the...

Mazzy, You can purchase and download that dragon model directly from the Vector Art 3D site: http://www.vectorart3d.com/store/index.cfm?Fuseaction=Detail&ID=50234 If you don't have Cut3D you can download the free 3D Machinist program from the same site and machine it directly or prepare toolpaths th...

Re: Cutting out parts side by side
Very noble effort, you and your organization should be commended! Keep us informed, there are many here willing to help you. As for laying out the wheels that would be easy. Create one and use the Array Copy tool to make the copies over your available material size. You could pocket the axle hole wi...

Re: Cutting out parts side by side
Combining this with your other post I picture you trying to do something like shown in the attached picture. If so, you would want to create one matched pair, then join them into a single vector shape. This shape will be cut with a single outside profile toolpath. Then you would divide the two piece...

Re: Cutting on wood that has a curved surface
Hi Greg, You would need to have Aspire for this because the first step would be to model the surface of the wine stave so the program knows where to project the 2D image onto. Here are two posts showing some sample results and how Aspire would be set up to do this: http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewt...

Re: Dashed Lines
Hi Rodger, Interesting observations/results on the imported lines. I guess the programs aren't actually creating separate individual line segments, but assigning a visual attribute to a single line. It would be interesting if you could look at the dashed lines in a node editing mode (if it exists in...
