How is everyone holding down the lithograph , I have 5x7 .
Re: lithograph
I use small strips of wood screwed to the spoil board. I leave a small border around the picture.

Re: lithograph
I am not posting to criticize. I am only adding this for info on terminology.
A lithograph is a type of printing process during which original works of art can be printed and reproduced; the final product is also known as a lithograph, which is an authorized copy of an original work created by an artist or other skilled craftsmen. The printing process for creating lithographs is different from other traditional methods, mainly because it does not require the print-maker to first etch the image into metal plates. Prints can be made of original works of art, first created on the stone table or metal plate, or images from paintings or drawings can be duplicated with this method.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A lithophane or lithopane is an etched or molded artwork in thin very translucent porcelain or other material that can only be seen clearly when back lit with a light source. It is a design or scene in intaglio that appears (in gray) tones.
A lithophane presents a three dimensional image - completely different from two dimensional engravings and daguerreotypes that are "flat". The images change characteristics depending on the light source behind them. Window lithophane panel scenes change throughout the day depending upon the amount of sunlight. The varying lightsource is what makes lithophanes more interesting to the viewer than two dimensional pictures.

Re: lithograph
I have made frames that go over the Corian® material and screw down on the edges of the frame. . .it allows me to make the material to size prior to carving it.

Re: lithograph
I never make a border, I carve the entire sheet of Corian, easier than trying to get even borders or sanding to size. I use double side tape and works fine. Last summer when it was 116 degrees, the tape got soft and moved. To prevent that, tape it, then use small pieces of wood clamped around the edges of the Corian to keep it from moving. Keith

Re: lithograph
The tape will hold the Corian down. Just noticed where you said you put the strip of wood on top. Just snug the wood against the sides to prevent moving, the tape will do the rest.
