The company is NextWave Automation, and you can contact then directly. 419 318-4822. 1 to 2 weeks would have held if Rockler had any in stock. They are a big thing, and as Rockler now sells more than one brand they may not even order any for stock since NextWave is in the USA anyway. NextWave may have had to build-to-order your Shark, and I'm guessing that would easily take an extra week. In this age of free 2-day shipping I know it pains us to wait 3 or 4 weeks for something we think we've paid for, but that is more the norm for big shop tools. I've got an X-Carve kit coming to add to my collection but it has already been 3 weeks with no shipping notice.

Hello all, my name is Lawrence Richards. I retired from the USAF a little under 2 years ago and my family and I settled on Whidbey Island in WA state. I've been a hobby woodworker for a few years now, but startedplaying with a hobby CNC (Carvewright- which I no longer use) in 2010. A portfolio of some of my work can be found here

I recently set up an LLC called Reflections of Service which will use carving, 3d printing and custom woodworking to make gifts and memorabilia, primarily for military and first responders.
I plan to run several CNCs at once and last week purchased the first of my "flock"- a Shark HD3 (holiday bundle). I'm immersing myself into the forum and help videos before I set things up (and am running new electricity into my shop)
I appreciate any additional tips etc you can offer and look forward to being a part of this forum.

Re: Welcome to CNC Shark Talk!
Hey all. Just got my shark hd3 extended bed up and going. I just have one question. How can I get the machine to run at a constant speed and not slow down in corners. I cut mdf only. And have been for over a year on my xcarve. I run it at 150 ipm and it never slows down and has no problem. How can I change this on the shark.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Welcome to CNC Shark Talk!
I cant wait to get started with my shark. I WILL be asking everyone questions a lot....
Re: Welcome to CNC Shark Talk!
If I wasn't paying attention to my bit speed rate when choosing, is there a water to change that at the shark control panel?

Re: Welcome to CNC Shark Talk!
In a limited way, yes. You can adjust the feed-rate slider to slow down the XYZ movement, and depending on your router/spindle, you can independently change the bit RPM. Those settings are all blunt-force-weapons, however. It is preferred to go back into the toolpath generating software and adjust things there.Jimmy B wrote:If I wasn't paying attention to my bit speed rate when choosing, is there a way to change that at the shark control panel?
Notwitstanding, replying to this thread isn't really the place for the question; a separate thread would be more appropriate.
Hope that helps,
Thom

Ok, so every day when I log onto the shark control panel, the USB driver is missing. I have to reinstall the driver everything I log in. Why is it losing it?
Also, I am building clocks, and it sometimes tells me that I have open vectors when I don't. I'm not understanding how to get past that.
