Carving Text

Post by James King »

Someone out there must have experience carving text. Some of the text is .2-.25". I have been trying to us my 60 degree v-bit but it knocks out the center. of letters. Looked for a 30 degree bit, but have not had luck finding one.

What do you guys use and where do you get it?

Whiteside Machine Company sells a "Carving Liner" bit tha is ~20 degrees.

I picked up one at Woodcraft for doing detail lettering.
