rotary attachment

Post by Jim N »

Hi all-
I have been away from the forum for quite some time.
Anything new with the status of the rotary attachment.
I did a search and found nothing :(
Thanks-
Jim

The 4th axis is in Beta now.
We are working to have a kit out after the 1st of the year.

Tim discussed some of the new stuff, including the 4th axis at the 2012 IWF show in Atlanta - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrW9ktXV ... tu.be&hd=1

I saw the protoytype 4th axis setup at IWF. Looks like it will be a challenge to insure a kit will work with all the different Shark models. If anyone can do it though Tim can. I'd love the kit to be simple to swap the router from vertical to horizontal and back though, and that may take completely re-thinking the router mount design. I could see a simply cylindrical spindle motor clamped into a square "box" that could key/slide into the Z lift either horizontal or vertical. The housing on the Bosch router looks like it would prevent such a box though.

It comes with an interface software but not a new drawing software. You would use aspire or vcarve for it.
