Drilling holes with the shark

Post by DAwest »

Does the software included with the shark include a pecking cycle for drilling holes. Can you include canned cycles in the programing. DA.

Sure does. VCarve Pro has a drilling toolpath, and it uses the pass depth when drilling. It will drill at the center of circles or the crossing of line segments I think. You can download a free trial version at http://www.vectric.com/downloads/trial-software.html

It will drill to the center of any closed vector shape, however it will not recognize the crossing of line segments.

In all drilling operations it is the drill or bit that determines the hole size and the size/shape of the closed vector does not matter.

Thanks for answering that question, Tim. I jump back and for between different CNC programs and get them mixed up occasionally.
