SOA reaper embossing plate for leather

I've been busy getting some samples ready for a demo I'm doing at my CNC group next week on 4th Axis rotary turning that I haven't had much of a chance to make any leather embossing plates. But I got this one done which is the reaper from the SOA show. It is 4" tall so it will fit nicely on a biker wallet or roper wallet, and it cut into delrin plastic and embossed using a 1 ton press. This is just the pressing. The actual plate is a rather unimpressive looking square white block.
Cheers!

This is something I've had an interest in for some time now - glad to see it can be done on the Shark.
Any idea how the long the delrin holds up to the press? And would you mind sharing any details about things like depth of carve and how intricate you can go on the design?

using a press works very well. it doesn't have the 'blunt force trauma' you get from a mallet so even thin lines will get a lot of milage.
You really can't go too deep. I shoot for 0.11" to 0.125" for the depth for use with a 1 ton arbor press. Beyond that there is so much surface
area you'll have to get into a 12 or 20 ton hydralif press to stretch it enough to get the details.
