Re: CNC and clock building
Quick note-leeds is underway. All part have been digitally separated into their appropriate material thicknesses and some material will be obtained today. Hopefully begin programming tomorrow evening with first cuts happening this weekend. Will try to post pics of progress.

WOW!! A 7 Day clock!
Because you won't have to wind every day, should free you up to do other things.

Like wind the other 1 day clocks
I believe from here forward it may only be 7 day + clocks. They are a bit more challenging so right up my alley and , correctly, save a me time on the rewind schedule
That is, unless a really difficult 1 day clock comes to mind...like the macc.
There is always an exception to the rule lol

Re: CNC and clock building
So, a lapse in my post, but not long enough to be detrimental to reporting. In the prior 2 weeks I have had to be an adult ( dont we all wish we didn't have to? ) but did get some things accomplished. Leeds has been entirely digitally separated into their respective material thicknesses, programmed for toolpaths and cut.
I now have approximately 14 separate nests to break free and sand. In addition I still need to review the arbors to see if I have enough left over brass from prior projects to build it. I have secured material for the pendulum and will hopefully be getting to cutting it soon. This clock runs, with a pulley to double run time, on approximately 15-19 pounds ( holy cow that's a lot!) so standard monofilament line just won't do, so I still need to source/ purchase steel leader line for the string. So all told, a few more weeks to go.
On another note, I know that I will be building another clock for a wedding gift for a family member that must be complete by mid August.
This will be a busy year.
Hope all are doing great and hope someone will also post soon!
