my shark uses a liquid cooled spindle, i filled the reservoir with green antifreeze, easy to see in clear tubing and i thought may not evaporate as fast.
my pump quit after a bout six months? was old, used but i wonder if i should not do that with the new pump? any thoughts?

I have mine on a environmentally controlled shop. I used distilled water. If there's a chance of freezing, you should definitely use some sort of antifreeze.
