Actually I find you still get twist while you tighten and if you use a feeler gauge you can prove this.
My technique is to run to 0,0,0 (or just make sure x and y are 0's) turn off the controller hand spin the z screw install the new bit and hand spin it back down to the table. When you turn the controller back on it takes this as 0,0,0. . . . . no deflection found doing it by this method. I have found deflection in the video method.
I can create a video if anyone wants to see what I am describing. I also use a very thin tissue type paper that I drop the bit on till I get a drag on the paper. Using feeler gauges on the end of the bit is not desirable constantly. . .
