Fuse size

Post by dclyde »

Just bought a shark pro plus hd and it promptly blew the small fuse inside the control box on the circuit board. It was a 4.5 amp . Replaced it and it worked for a few minutes but next time I powered up it blew again. The manual seems to indicate that this should be a 7 amp fuse but willing to try till I know for sure. Any ideas. Haven't even run the router yet.

I am not sure where you are seeing the 4.5 amp fuse.
The external fuse is 8 amps for Canada and 10 amps for the US.
There is an internal fuse on the Board that is 4 for Canada and 7.5 for US.
If it is the internal fuse that is blown then you have an issue with the board.
If you are using a 8 or 10 amp fuse and it is blowing then there might be an issue with the Power supply.
in either case contact support for repair 419 419-4520.
