Sometimes I forget to put the starting point at the left corner, resulting in the bit running off the material or into the clamps
Now, the first toolpath I do is a dot at each corner just above the Z0, shows me instantly whether the material is placed correctly.

I found one on eBay but didn't know how water cooled works.
There is a very good speed control that some members use but I can't remember the name.
I use my Dremel at the moment.

The table is now very level , level enough to be able to engrave with a depth setting of .25mm however the router has some bearing play and well it sorta doesn't do the job right, perhaps a decent spindle will be the answer. Do you use coloured acrylic?

I did 0.005" depth but I just whacked one of the High Speed 0.01" Dremel cutters in the chuck. The shank is only 0.0125". The model wasn't a very good one, rather fuzzy lines.
