Re: CNC Shark HD Mako Limited Edition (Help)
It would have been fun to help you set up the machine so you could demo it...And, to also try tipping you over to the cnc side.

Re: Struggling with dust collection setup
"Is it possible to add a smoke detector inside the enclosure, or will the dust trigger it constantly? It would be nice to have an indication of fire before everything is melted and the fire is out of control." This is a huge topic of concern for me. Re: 3d finish tool
Jim,
The 3D toolpath will go full depth. That's just the way it is.
Setting the roughing toolpath will eliminate a lot of the excess material.

Re: X- Axis losing counts
Brad,
How big is that end mill?
How deep are you trying to cut in each pass?
It sounds like you are trying to cut too much in one pass. This can cause a loss of steps, and put the bit in the wrong position.
It would also help if you would post your crv file. And, pictures of the cut.

Re: Power Box died mid-job
G,
Check where the power cord is plugged into the box. There should be a tiny holder for a fuse there...with a spare fuse.
