Re: What's the Next Feature You Would Like?
Table cutting routine is easy enough in V-carve- Draw a 25" square and pick the pocket toolpath- Set your tool and depth and your in business, I put 3/4 slats on my table and cut flat this way.

Re: Table leveling
I bolted 3/4 in slats as my sub base and machined flat and parallel with the machine- your are limited of course to 25 x 25 because that is all that will cut but the rest is useless except for support anyway. Its about $25 bucks worth of wood and bolts, much less if purchased in bulk- see pics attac...
Re: Accuracy
Loudspeakerboy, Have you tried using the mirror image, raised boss inlay technique yet? It does an awsome job- I have attached a picture of my Headplate Logo. It is mother of pearl inlaid in rosewood- Also attached pic of guitar I am currently working on and last guitar. Hope to see some of your wor...
Re: Accuracy
Yep , I need to order the precise collets too! I did not snap my cutter but my .023" bit cut a .040" slot ! I busted loose and bought the whole collet set for $87 bucks- Should be well worth it- Otherwise program path, accuracy ect all look pretty good. Thanks for the tip, I should have listened and...

Re: Levelling the aluminium table
Just a couple more pictures of my table fix- One other note, I think a flat surface for the shark to sit on is a must as well- Mine is 1.5 inch particle board with 4 inch x 3/4 slats underneath it for re-inforcement. No pictures of the re-inforcements under the table but you get the idea.. ' Shark T...

Re: Levelling the aluminium table
I added aluminum angle to the end pieces and 4 slats across the bottom- Table is much stiffer but still not FLAT ! My fix was to add 25" x 3/4 inch MDF slats to the top of the table and cut them flat with the shark- The table top is 25 x 25 which is the only usable area on the table anyway and I cov...
Re: Accuracy
Wow, Fingerboards look great, I have been using a .023 power slotting blade and jig, I will try using the precise bits, no binding required. I re-checked my proge-cad dxf file and it looked ok, I reloaded it to v-carve and re-generated the tool path and it was OK this time- I must have dragged the s...
Accuracy
I have an issue and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. My shark machine accuracy seems to be right on if I jog to position, but when I run tap programs from V-carve I progressively gain about 1/16" over 16 inches. My project is guitar fretboard- I am drilling holes for the fret ...

Re: Mach 3 control
Tim, Thanks for your reply, I am disappointed that I cannot use Mach3 at this time. Are there any plans to make it compatable in the future? I can open the tap files in wordpad and edit but the shark does not seem to recognize very many basic G-codes. Is there a list available? Secondly I would very...

Re: Unable to open Control Panel
Bob, I had a similar issue with my Maco Shark- You have to register your machine and each accessory separately- Once registered you will recieve a registration key by email. ( I had to hound them with email to get them to send me the registration keys, not sure why it takes so long but it is not an ...
