Re: Shark HD 24x24
Be sure you look at the legacy Explorer. It is the most solid construction of all the small machines.

It also uses Mach3 which is many times better than The shark system.

Re: Tool database
You didn't say what software you are using. I will assume it is VcarvePro or cut3D. these are both Vectric products. If you go to Vectric Form.com or Vectric FAQ you will find numerous postings on this subject. A word here. I personally have used Vectric Aspire for five years and am very happy with ...

Re: 3d software other than vectric?
Please understand that Gcode is Gcode is Gcode. Gcode is the basis of a large majority of the CNC programs. It so happens that Aspire from Vectric is a very popular well written Program with tutorials that know no equal in the industry. Also Vectric supports their software forever. There is no time ...

Re: G-Code programming question
Hi Mark; Sorry but I have not posted my Gcode essay on the Net. I did the essay to support a group of shark users in the Seattle area. I would be happy to send it to anyone who wants it. I am hesitant to post my email address on this forum. I am sure you can get it from the system moderator. I would...

Re: G-Code programming question
My suggestion is to use VCarve pro to cut as much of the part as possible. You can use the preview tool path function to see how well the program works. chances are you will have to do some manual Gcode writing. If you will post the artwork you have for the guitar neck I will give it a test run and ...

Re: Applies tooling inside when set to outside
Your problem is there are two lines defining that letter. The program thinks that is two different letters. If you delete the inner line it will cut the way you want it to.
You have to look closely to see both lines.

Re: Touch plate issues?
There is another possibility. If you were using a dust collector at the same time you were cutting, Make sure the ducting is grounded. Dust passing thru the plastic can create small discharges of static electricity that can affect the signal in the USB cable that carries the data from your computer ...

Re: Bit Deflection Help
In my experience If all the machine parts are secured with nothing loose, bit deflection is generally caused by a feed rate that is too high for the bits ability to remove material. when milling metal the feed rates for cutting are well established. Wood is another matter. Even in the same board I h...

Re: Dust Boot Modification
It is obvious you are using the wrong dust boot. I was introduced to the (KENT CNC dust boot) 5 years ago. I have been using it ever since. It is made in two pieces. One part is attached to your router or commercial spindle. It attaches with one screw and is very solid. The part with the brushes att...
