I'll give it another attempt using a different image. I though my first image had good contrast, but have another with more detail and sharper tones. Thanks for your reply.

Lithopane carving
I've just finished my first attempt at a creating a lithopane using 0.33" glacier white Corian. I set the maximum cutting depth to 0.28" and the image is not quite bright enough even with a powerful bulb placed directly behind. Can anyone suggest what thickness of Corian should be left for the best ...

The door frame is not assembled and the hinge side is basically a flat board that can lay on the CNC table and moved to position for each of the 3 mortises needed.

Routing mortise for door hinge
I'm trying to learn to use my new CNC Shark and would like to create a mortise in a door frame for the hinge. Can anyone provide some instructions how I should create the mortise design with VCarve Pro or Cut 3-D?
