Re: clamp down

Yes, a picture would help substantially. With what little we know here, the only answer I can offer is, "Use a clamp," which probably isn't as helpful as you wanted.

Re: clamp down

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Are you trying to clamp the material down on an axis? Or change the g-code to prevent a movement direction or boundary? Is this a VCarve/Aspire question?

Re: ISO Logging 3D carving files

Sounds like you're jumping into the 3d modeling side of the hobby. Sometimes you can get lucky and google "stl" plus your request, then find a file for free or for a nominal price. Since your requests are rather specific, there are a couple ways to go about getting them. One is to learn how to 3d mo...

Re: Transferring file from USB to Pendant (sd100)

A .crv file is a VCarve file. It can only be opened by VCarve (or Aspire, perhaps), not by your CNC machine. Your CNC machine isn't even looking for .crv files.

You need to create toolpaths, export those as g-code files, then load those.

Re: Shark Pro HD CNC For Sale

Nice looking machine. I hope you find a buyer for it. I need to learn to be better about letting go of past passions that no longer interest me like you're doing. Smart idea. It would be nice if we had a dedicated buy/sell area of the forum. It'd be a cool place to look for stuff like this and the a...

You know you're responding to a bot, right? It's just a script that writes stuff and posts links. The only way to really stop it is call Rockler Woodworking and ask them to kick the bot off.

Re: Grapefruit League: Ultimate Variation

It's a bot. Completely automated to post junk and include links to their sites. Even if users don't read or click, they're hoping that Google sees enough forums pointing to their sites that Google will think people are talking about these sites and bump them up in the search rankings. The best you c...

Re: depth of cut

I would do 1/4" cuts per layer, but that probably pretty conservative compared to what most people would use for pine.
