Re: Beware 2 Watt laser not centered with spindle
Wow. That is insane. Will they not return the laser head and replace it with one that IS lined up?

Re: hd3 upgrade - hd5 aluminum spindle clamp
Wow. I thought this was about upgrading a gantry.
My reply was to @rando . My HD Pro does flex when machining. It is not always visible but shows up in some of the tolerances.
This is what mine looks like

Re: 15 Watt Diode Laser (Not Next Wave)
... The cost of a laser addon didn't offer much savings beyond buying a standalone unit (aside from space savings). Check out, for instance, the 7W Ortur that is selling for $155 as I write this. Funny you mention that. I am waiting for my Ortur 15W to arrive. I plan to use it for engraving and oth...

15 Watt Diode Laser (Not Next Wave)
Has anyone added a laser to their Shark, other than the one sold by Next Wave? Their largest module is only 7 Watt output @ $999 but there are now 15 Watt output (40 Watt input) units available for around $250. Most of the ones I have looked at come with some form of control board that seems pretty ...

Really cool design. Nice work.
Re: UHT OH!
I have not replaced the fuse myself but there are a few posts that explain the process to remove the cover top the CNC box and change the fuse. Either do a search for "fuse" or wait and someone with more experience will chime in. Searching may work faster.

Nicely done! They look fantastic even with the plywood unfinished in the pics. Can't wait to see the completed work.

Re: Nut bowl using Fluting tool
Thanks for linking the thread Bob. That is a great bit of information that will help me look at new ways to do this. I'm finally working on getting some real projects done with this system and the knowledge from this group is helping a lot.

Nut bowl using Fluting tool
Created this as a way to test how to create a bowl with the Fluting tool. I plan to keep working on how to get this accomplished with various shapes and sizes but I think it was a decent start. I used a log segment from a Locust tree we cut down last year. It was a small 6.6 x 6.5 x 1.75 piece but t...
