Thanks for the advice! I wanted to ask before I crashed my machine. I'll bite the bullet and begin revising as the projects they come up.
Sincerly - thank you for steering me away from a train wreck

My learning adventure with shark 4th axis accessory -4
It has been a long week of email with Vectric and NWA support by email. Niether came up with a solution. A user tipped told me how to fix it. So the problem was I was unable to position my work where it was showing placed, in Aspire 4.5 All of my work was positioned at the Start cut point specified ...

Feedrate problems with Aspire
So I am having difficulty resetting the feed rate in to tools menu of Aspire 4.5. I change the feed rate, select apply and it looks changed. I delete the previous tap file, and recreate another and the old feed rate is still in the tap file. So far the only thing that works for sure is to change the...

Re: Question about Preference Updates
My experience is the Lathe cut depth can be set on the fly so to speak. No restart is necessary. However the distance from the lath chuck definitely require shutting down the control panel and opening it again. I have never had to reset the head and tail positions. When it opens it asks me if I want...

My learning adventure with shark 4th axis accessory - 3
I was using alot of dowels in my learning. I finally figured out that the Lathe Cut depth offset (in the preferences) could be a very handy little tool when you want to run a tap file and not do any cutting. My normal lathe depth setting took some trial and error to get it zeroed in. It ended up bei...

My learning adventure with shark 4th axis accessory -2
So here is my next problem. The following is my email to support at NWA and Vectric: I am getting very frustrated using the 4th axis accessory. I have been working with this problem for two days and gone through countless dowel rods in testing. I’ll begin with my software and equipment setup. Laptop...

Re: Q: Anyone using 4thAxis as a "true" axis, not just a wra
Im not exactly sure about your question however it is similar to what I am trying to use the 4th axis for. I am using Aspire and there is much more flexibility with this than V-carve. Once the work space is laid out using the wrap Gadgets>Wrapping>Wrapped Job setup I go to the material size and put ...

My learning adventure with shark 4th axis accessory
Thought I would share my learning experience with the 4th axis accessory. Hopefully it will help some one make a decision if they are considering purchasing or if I am making mistakes, someone will jump in and help me. When I got into using the shark about 3-4 years ago I thought it would be easy, j...

control panel 2.1 & 4th axis
I just placed this tech support request to NWA. I'm running control panel 2.1 build 22. When I set the head and the rear, then push the button to return to front, the gantry returns to the same point where I set the head. HOWEVER, I have noticed if I bump the mouse or deliberately slide the mouse of...
