Re: Why?
Thom, thanks for the insight it gives me much to ponder. I am going through tutorials incessantly, even loosing track of email etc. I think I will get it someday but I suspect there are more issues in the future but I still don't understand a o,2+ beginning and then back down to the assigned 0.1 pla...

Re: Why?
A quick try gave me good results, the only depth variance was because of board warp that virtual zero did not make up for about 0.05 deeper on the rt of boob vs beware. I am keeping the original taps and will work it out on scrap. I still don't understand because the depth on the Vcarve was 0.139 an...

Re: Why?
I will certainly try that shortly. I guess my big concern it the variance in depth, do you think that the V carve will change that? Time will tell shortly, I cleaned off the scrap and will go at it this eve. Thanks

Re: Why?
Still having problems, this one among many which basically is the same as the scrape thingy I started this thread with. What I expected.bmp Still having depth issues, this is what I expected from V dt. Depth should have been 0.1 mostly 0.2+ with ramps that came from I don't know where. I checked the...

Re: Why?
Bob thanks for the offer, but I ran the thing a second time and it came out okay with no change in the crv and now I have made some changes to it with different fonts etc. I plan on running it again tomorrow hopefully for the last time. New at this so I didn't even think of saving sequential files o...

Re: Why?
Thanks Tony, router is tight and so was bit. Re-did the project and it came out fine but I still can't figure out how it started deep and then went to the assigned depth. I will keep scratching my head. my only other thought is the overhead vacuum hose being too heavy but that doesn't make much sens...

Why?
I am getting output like this often and sometime I know where I went wrong but this one I have no idea. A week or so ago it did a similar output while doing a cutout and went dep into the spoil board on the opposite (rt) side of the piece. I did a check a couple of days ago with a 24" x 24" run with...

Re: Time to process .tap
Thanks Tony for a quick answer the original setting was 2 and I thought maybe 1 would be closer but I will now have an idea of how to get closer. I am doing the tutorials sometimes twice to dig deeper. I would be better if my great-grandkids lived closer and would come over and teach me to be better...

Time to process .tap
I am just learning my HD4 and have run into a problem I know not how to solve. Vectra tells me a file should run in 1hr 33 minutes. HD4 took 5 hrs 15 mins. I know it is a setting that I cannot find but can anyone solve this for me please. Not just one file, so far all I have tried on my own do the s...

Digital duplicator
Just got hd4 set up and waiting on bits to start. I have a dig dup probe and wondering what is the file output for the beast and can I make modifications? Any ideas would help a newby out a lot since my curiosity is deeper than my knowledge base.
