engraving large plastic laminate pieces
Hi, We're going to be making large 4" x 36" laminate pieces with names engraved on them to slide into signs, etc. You know what I'm talking about. It's like name badge material; white plastic with a thin layer of red on top. Any suggestions on best bits and speeds and feeds to use? I did a sample pi...

x-y axis switch CTRL E or G not working
I know this has been covered before, however neither CTRL-G or CTRL-E are working for me. I have version 3.0. Is anyone aware of how to get to configuration in this version? It'd be great if they'd realized this is a feature people would like and had come up with an easy solution to do it rather tha...

Is there anyone else who does theater and uses their CNC. What kinds of projects have you done. We know we're going to fin...

Re: Getting bits out of water-cooled spindle
I will be buying another collet. Which one did you buy? My workaround: I noticed when taking the tightening nut off, that the collet seems to sit at a slight angle. Some gentle tapping on the shaft of the bit on the high side (the part of the collet that is further into spindle) helps it release. Th...

Getting bits out of water-cooled spindle
Hi friends, Any secrets to removing bits from the spindle? I loosen the collet, but the internal part stays tight. I'm using the correct collet insert, 1/4" for 1/4" bits. Getting the bit out tends to require more encouragement (with more accidental finger slices) than I'd like. I want to avoid marr...
