Re: Loosing depth on cuts
Hi, I tried another cut using a file I got from the Next Wave forum. It's the pendent stand plans that are set up for half inch mdf which is pretty flat. It's loosing 1/4" depth consistently throughout, so it's cutting only halfway through & I believe it to be very flat. When zeroing the Z, I even ...

Shark HD5 EXT Full Assembly
I searched all around for a good assembly video of the SharkHD5 and didn't find many results. I decided to do a full assembly video and discuss the various issues that arose throughout my process. I put mine on the Kreg Universal Workbench. I ended up making a second video describing the issues with...

Re: Controller Features
I would vote for being able to copy your toolpath file to the controller, so the thumb drive doesn't have to be in at all times. Longer run times run the risk of a glitch due to the drive overheating. Axiom has that feature and it is awesome.

Re: Dust Tube Holder
I like it. I just bought the HD5 and it comes with a 2-1/2" shoe port. The new dust shoes come with super soft bristles and get sucked into the port. I'm going to be changing the whole thing out and replacing with a KENT CNC or something similar. I love your design for keeping the hose up. I was pla...

Re: Imagination to Reality i2R or Shark HD5
The I2R is going away. It is actually manufactured by another company. Axiom is upgrading it to the Iconic series since they recently purchased the Iconic brand out of Canada. It has an air-cooled 1hp spindle. The frame and gantry aren't as beefy as the Shark HD5. The Basic series from Axiom is clos...

Re: What XY location are you using...and WHY?
Mount a fence (can be strips of wood) to the table that is set just outside, but on the border of the X/Y. Run a profile pass or manually jog the machine to cut the fence square to this axis. Make a block that can sit on top of the fence and references the inside corner where X & Y meet. You will al...

Re: Virtual Vero using HD5 Touchpad
The virtual Zero is available when using a PC and the controller software or the pendant. You have to set it up in the "apps" section. I'm more interested in information regarding the Virtual Zero Unlimited, which is supposed to allow for an unlimited number of reference points compared to the five ...

Re: Image - Set up of Shark HD4 Extended
