Re: Gaps in inlays?
tiger_purr Lower the speed on the router down to about 12K rpm. I would set the Pass depth to 1/2 of the diam. of the bit or 0.062. Also the step over need to be only about 10%. ( This will cause your run time to go up and can be delt with by using a second bit and do a "large area clearance tool pa...

Re: Gaps in inlays?
tiger_purr It looks like a problem with the gantry flexing. This could be because of the speed of your cut or the bit not being sharp and causing to much drag, and causing the bit to move in and out of the true tool path. I know of three different way to do and inlay and I have had problems like thi...

pshupe Here is the link to one I put together with the help of another member, and also after reading many of the idea's other members had posted. I have done mostly inlays and cutting veneer with a drag knife. (cutting the veneer requires the table to be dead on.) At the time of this writing the al...

Re: Conversion of drawings to Vector graphic
Detaylor1242 I have also been playing with the idea of "teaching" my shark to do intarsia, so I am still learning it my self. What I have found is if you scan in a file and than have Aspire/Vcarve trace bitmap you will get one set of vectors on each side of the line. You can delete one set of vector...

Re: Black Diamond gantry upgrade
Kenypete, Next Wave Automation I am having a VERY hard time understanding way it has taken NWA so long to address this issue. To me this is a twenty dollar fix on a four thousand dollar tool and it makes a big difference on how it will cut. It has been know since the original HD came out in 2011. Wi...

Re: Open Vector's
Iwejan To find all the "OPEN" vectors go to the tab for edit at the top left of the screen and pick Select all open vectors This will cause the program to change the "open" vectors to the color they would be if you had selected a vector. If it turn out the "OPEN" vectors that the program high light ...
