Re: Pro Plus for Sale
I sent a PM. I do have the machine on a bench that you are more than welcome to have with the purchase of the machine. It's really sturdy and the control box is attached.

Pro Plus for Sale
I am selling my one year old Pro Plus that has less than 20 hours of operating time on it. The Shark is complete with a DeWalt trim router and Compaq laptop computer to run it. the machine looks and runs like brand new so you are getting an amazing deal since they sell for 4 grand without the router...

Re: Lithophane bits Questions
Hi All I want to try to make a Lithophane but I am totally confused. What Bits do I need and where do I buy them at a reasonable price? I have a Bosch Colt Router (1/4" Shank) and a Shark Pro . I know you need Photovcarve. I have some jpegs. They are in color but I can change them to Black and Whit...

Re: Eliminating cutter head lines from each pass
There is an easier way to do this. You can create a second tool path with a different cutter, when you select the cutter, make the cutter width a few thousandths of an inch smaller but use the same cutter when cutting out the part. What this does is tricks the machine into thinking there is a smalle...

Re: Keyhole Toolpath ~ under talked about feature
I have done exactly this though not on the Shark as of yet. I cut keyhole slots in two custom bathroom mirror frames with little to no problem other than ensuring both sides were lined up the same. Here is a video of my older DIY machine cutting the slots. I could have done them in one pass but I di...

Re: Shark Upgrades!
The first machine I ever built I used separate drives and a breakout board that came as a kit. The components were in a bag and you had to solder them to the PCB score you could even think of hooking anything up. The G540 takes some of that fun away but once you've done it before, you've done it eno...

Re: Moaning Sound
Becausew e use our machines in a fairly dirty environment and wood dust is a constant issue. applying a lubricant that stays wet is asking for trouble... think "wet sanding". A dry lubricant like the the one sold here "http://www.mclubemarine.com/sailkote/" will coat well and completely dry giving a...

All be it not impossible, you'd have a very difficult time machining .010 Stainless sheet on a router of ANY kind. Sheet this small would require stamping or cutting on scroll saw (which I've done many times) to get a decent edge. The nature of the material in it's thin state will make holding in pl...

Re: Shark Upgrades!
Now that my friend, is a monster! Thanks for sharing your setup. Got any vids of the CNC running? I have another CNC that I built from scratch out of MDF that ran quite well until I moved and lost the expansive space of a garage and am now using a 7 by 10 foot sun room as my workshop, I no longer ha...
