Re: Carving and surface finish
I feel for the moderators and applaud all of the thankless work they do. I fault the people at Rockler or whoever holds the privilege of deleting accounts. They should entrust the moderators that they have appointed to be on the front line to do the task that needs to be done. (If they are not going...

Thanks Bob for the reply. Please don’t take my ranting as an attack or complaint on your work. You and I go way back in the day… and I know the limits that are placed on you. Im sure it will be futile but I will call Rockler tomorrow. Someone , somewhere, has the ability to fix this situation. Right...

Can’t shit like this be stopped by screening who is allowed onto this forum. I may be wrong but I thought there was an authentication process to screen for spam bots. Certainly user names such as the one that posted the recent post, screams of spam.

Re: Router will not power on. Why?
Be looking for a bad solder joint also. I had my whole control box go dark one time after using my Shark for about 5 years. Wasn’t a fuse and wasn’t a bad part or bad router. Found the problem to be a cold solder joint either on the fuse holder or ac entry or in that general area. I posted pics of t...

X-Carve Pro model and others
Before someone tries to remind me that this is a forum for the CNC Shark, yes I know... I've been here before. LOL Has anyone had any experience with the Inventables X-Carve cnc machine. I was just wondering how it compares to the Shark in terms of stability, gantry flex etc, among any other compari...

What did you use for glue? A wood glue or pvc solvent type glue? Excellent work, but I wouldn’t expect any less from you.

Re: Water cooled spindle
It appears that this uses the ER-11 collet system that only ranges from 1mm to 7mm diameter shafts. 7mm is approx .275". The plus is that there is every imaginable size within those limits, just not larger. Although it sounds nice to have a larger 1/2" shaft cutter to do some things, the Shark is re...

Yes, Charles.. its nice to be able to have the software a couple of places. Personally, I design everything at my desk in the house and then take the .tap files out to the shop computer to run it. I don't even have a mouse or keyboard out where I could design on the shop computer. However, I take tr...

Anyone else wonder how the CNC Shark fits into this problem? Where is the router in proximity to your CNC Shark?
